How much does window cleaning cost?

We keep costs as affordable and competitive as possible but every house is different.  We calculate the cost based on the number and size of windows, ease of access and other factors.  For an accurate quotation, just give us a call, text or email and we can pop round and have a look. Alternatively, you can email photographs of the property and windows and we can provide a quotation based upon that.

How often will you clean my windows?

Most customers opt for a monthly clean, but you can choose a cleaning frequency that suits you: fortnightly, monthly, every six weeks or bi-monthly. Any frequency longer than that (once every 3 months and beyond), the windows can be really quite dirty so we would charge as a 'one-off' clean.

How does Pure Water Cleaning work?

Regular tap water is pumped through a series of 5 filtration processes to turn it into laboratory grade H2O. As there are no impurites in the super-purified water it does not leave a mark on the windows. A soft-bristle brush is used to agitate the dirt and the water clings to any dirt particles as it rinses away.

What are the benefits of Pure Water Cleaning?

As no chemicals are used in the cleaning, this method is very environmentally friendly. As telescopic poles are used to reach the windows, no ladders are used so your privacy is maintained. The frames and sills are cleaned in this method so your windows are left noticeably clean. Also, windows previously inaccessible by ladder, such as above conservatories can be reached with the extendable pole. You can also be assured that All Clear Window Cleaning is investing in the best technology to ensure the highest quality service possible.

How do you clean windows?

Most windows are cleaned using a Pure Water System. This is 100% pure water pumped through telescopic poles onto a soft-bristle brush to clean windows and leave them clean and streak-free. Some windows may not be able to be cleaned this way and so we offer a traditional method cleaning service too. Specialist detergents and rinsing agents are applied to the window and then removed with a squeegee before drying off with a linen scrim. We always clean frames and sills as well as the glass included with the price.

Why don't you dry the windows?

When windows have been cleaned with pure water, the water contains no impurities so any water droplets left on the glass will dry without leaving a mark. The water evaporates very quickly leaving sparkling clear windows.

Do you give an exact day/time that you will clean my windows?

It is not always possible to clean to an exact schedule as external factors such as bad weather or traffic can effect the day. If you are leaving open a gate for access, we will do our best to clean your windows that day. If we unable to do so for any reason, we will call/text you to let you know. If you want prior knowledge of when we will clean your windows then please provide a mobile phone number that we can text the night before.

Do you work in the rain?

Cleaning using the traditional method, i.e. ladders and squeegee, would often be dangerous in the rain and wind as the ladder becomes slippery and unsafe. However, in all but the worst conditions windows can be cleaned using the Pure Water System as ladders are not used and windows are cleaned just as effectively even if it is raining.

Do you clean frames and sills?

We always clean frames and sills as part of the window clean. Some window cleaners may exclude these or charge extra to clean them. We include cleaning frames, sills and glass within the price we quote.

Do you provide a one-off clean?

Yes! Some customers or landlords require a one-off clean. These are charged at a higher rate than regular cleans as the windows often require more cleaning.

What other services do you offer?

In addition to window cleaning, we offer gutter cleaning, fascia cleaning, conservatory and conservatory roof cleaning, pressure washing and solar panel cleaning.

Do I need to be in for you to clean my windows?

As long as all of the windows can be accessed safely then there is no need for you to be in when we clean the windows. If rear access is restricted by a gate or garage door, for example, we may need to arrange in advance by text for access to be made available for us to clean.

I leave my back/side gate locked for security purposes, how will you overcome this?

We often send a text to arrange a convenient time and date to clean windows where rear access is required. As long as access to the rear of property can be done safely we can clean all the windows. Alternatively we can clean just the front aspect of the property if rear access is a real problem.

Do you clean in the winter?

Yes! In all but the most adverse conditions we clean all year round. It is important to maintain a year round clean as windows often get dirtier in winter time.

Do I need to sign a contract?

No. Although should you wish us to stop cleaning on a regular basis it is helpful, where possible, to be advised in advance of the next clean.

How do I pay you?

Most customers pay on-line using their internet banking service (BACS). This is the preferred form of payment and details can be found on the payment page. We also accept cheque payments by post or on the day and cash on the day. Should you require us to collect cash, please advise the best day/time to collect cash (as we no longer dedicate an evening to collecting as we did in the past since more customers are now paying on-line).

Are you insured?

We hold a £3,000,000 Public Liability Insurance policy underwritten by Hiscox Insurance.

What if I am not happy with the clean?

It is really important for us that you are happy with the quality of the clean. We have made a lot of effort to ensure the best equipment and process is used to clean your windows. It is rare, but if you are not happy with the quality of the clean or we have missed a spot on your windows, please contact us within 48 hours and we will clean the windows without any additional charge.

Sometimes, cleaning with Pure Water will remove soap or other residue from frames or rubber which some time later may leach onto the glass. This is normal when switching from traditional cleaning to pure water cleaning for the first time. We are more than happy to return to clean windows where leaching has occured in this way.

In some instances some windows may need additional treatment to clean them for example, paint spatters, silicone or excessive staining but we will advise in advance should this be the case.
